It is only through the generous support of our donors that we are able to further our mission of establishing youth wrestling programs throughout the Philadelphia Metropolitan region.  Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for inner city underprivileged and at-risk youth and this is not possible without your financial support of our organization.  You can donate by sending a check directly to our office or online with a credit card.  Please see the details for both options below.

Beat the Streets Wrestling Program Philadelphia is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.  Unless specifically noted, no benefits were received by the donor in exchange for the gift(s), other than intangible benefits.

Since our founding, Beat the Streets Philadelphia has sought to improve the impact of our programs each year to meet the needs of the children we support. We have been successful in accomplishing this through the generous support of our donors.

In 2009 there were 2 programs we sponsored with 30 total participants and our aspirations to provide a holistic learning environment were seemingly out of reach. Although the progression has been incremental to ensure everything we do is sustainable, support from our donors has allowed us to expand to 20 programs with over 1,100 participants and access to a Mentoring Center that provides in-depth one-to-one academic and life skills development programming.

“Wrestling keeps you out of trouble.  You don’t get into any fights and it helps keep you calm.” – Ronald Palmer, Mariana Bracetti Academy

“The mindfullness that the wrestlers are using, they are able to easily translate into their clasroom and into their academics where they can use it every day as a tool.” – Andrea D’Asaro, Mariana Bracetti Academy

We have again set our sights on improving the overall impact of our programs and we are asking for your support to make this possible. After careful consideration our Board has focused our long-term and short-term strategy on gradually increasing access to our programs for all age levels, specifically focusing on expansion of girls’ opportunities and increasing participation in our in-depth mentoring to account for 10% of our overall participation.
