Official Sponsor of the “Pop” Lenzi Fund

The William “Pop” Lenzi Wrestling Fund is established to honor Bill’s service to his country and his love of family and athletics by supporting Beat the Streets Philadelphia. Bill served his country during the Korean War. As a youth, he was an outstanding athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball. Later in life, Bill learned to ski and continued that passion into his early 80s. Bill has always supported the sport of wrestling. His three sons, Chris, Scott, and Marc, and son-in-law Vince all wrestled in high school. In addition, Chris wrestled at the collegiate level for four years. Bill firmly believes wrestling builds character, discipline, and a strong mind. No one epitomizes these attributes more than his grandson, former Penn wrestler, Andrew Lenzi, W’ 15.

This fund was started by Bill’s four children: Christopher Lenzi, Scott Lenzi, Marc Lenzi, and Lydia Lucente, in conjunction with, a family friend, Steve Traendly. The Lenzi’s and their extended family are proud to express their love for Bill by supporting the wrestlers of Beat the Streets Philadelphia. Our annual goal is to outfit the wrestlers with the proper footwear, to ensure success in all of their athletic endeavors. We hope you will contribute to this great cause.
